Hey there, pizza lovers! Alex from Proto's Pizza here. If you haven't heard about us yet, we're the local shop on 2nd Ave between 2nd and 3rd Streets serving up authentic New York pizza by the slice or pie. We've also got many classic Italian dishes like hero sandwiches, pasta, calzones, and more.

I wanted to give you an inside look at our full menu, so you can see all the delicious options we offer. Whether you're craving cheesy pizza, a piled-high sandwich, or a hearty baked pasta dish, we've got you covered. We started Proto's back in 2012, and we use time-honored recipes to make the kind of Italian comfort food we grew up on.

Pizza

You can't visit a New York pizzeria without trying a slice (or three!) of our pizza. We make our dough fresh daily and top it with high-quality ingredients.

Our traditional pizzas keep it simple but delicious. The cheese pizza is the perfect classic - our rich tomato sauce and oozy mozzarella over that slightly charred crust can't be beaten. Or try the Grandma with its sweet sauce, olive oil, and basil.

If you want to get more adventurous, our specialty pizzas loaded with toppings are a good choice. The Meat Lover piles on the pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and more. Or get a taste of Italy with the Margherita and its fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes.

Not that hungry? Order a couple of slices instead of a whole pie. Our Sicilian and Grandma slices are big-time favorites.

Pasta

Of course, we have a big selection of Italian pasta dishes made fresh in-house.

Our baked pasta like lasagna, baked ziti, and eggplant parm bring that hot, comforting cheesy goodness. Just be warned - they're filling!

For more traditional noodle dishes, you can't go wrong with our Spaghetti & Meatballs or Rigatoni Amatriciana in a spicy tomato sauce.

If you want something on the lighter side, try one of our stuffed pasta like the Pesto Mushroom Ravioli with its creamy basil pesto sauce.

Sandwiches

Tear into one of our hearty sandwiches at Proto's - they definitely make a full meal.

Our hot heroes are fully loaded with ingredients between two slices of Italian bread. Get messy with the Meatball hero, or chomp into a Chicken Parm covered in tomato sauce and melted mozzarella.

For a lighter cold sandwich, try our Italian sub stacked with deli meats, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and dressing.

Or ditch the bread and wrap it up with our chicken Caesar wrap - grilled chicken, crispy romaine, parmesan, and creamy Caesar dressing.

Starters

You can make a meal of our tasty starters or get a few to share as appetizers for the table.

Our appetizers are made for snacking. The Buffalo Wings pack some heat, while the Garlic Knots are perfect for dipping in our tomato sauce.

Cool off with a simple chopped salad like our Mozzarella Tomato mix of ripe tomatoes, fresh mozz and basil.

And for a more filling starter, try one of our calzones stuffed with cheese, meats, and veggies. Just don't burn your mouth on the melty filling!

Sides

Every good Italian meal needs some classic sides.

Our crispy french fries are salted and seasoned to perfection. Great on their own or paired with a sandwich or wings.

If you need more protein, get an order of fried chicken tenders. They're hand-breaded in-house and nice and juicy on the inside.

Desserts & Drinks

And, of course, don't forget to save room for something sweet! Our crunchy cannolis filled with creamy ricotta cheese are the perfect way to end an Italian feast. Or split the ooey-gooey Nutella calzone packed with chocolate-hazelnut goodness.

Wash it all down with your beverage of choice - we offer fountain sodas, refreshing iced tea, or water.
